ALL OCCASION AND SPECIALTY CAKES: 

There are many types and styles of cakes.  Each of these components effect the cost of your cake.  The following is a typical cost outline for the majority of our cakes.

 Sheet cakes:

*13x9 sheet cake      feeds 12-15        $20.00        filled         $25.00

*11x15 sheet cake    feeds 25+           $30.00        filled         $35.00

*12x18 sheet cake    feeds 35+           $40.00        filled         $45.00

Sheet cakes after this are comprised on a servings need basis.  We make sheet cakes to serve hundreds.  On average,  larger cakes price out to about $1.50 per serving for single layer sheet cake,  $3.00 for double layer sheet cake.

Character cakes    $18.00                Cakes with images    add $7.00

Double layer round cakes:

*8 inch round      feeds 12-15        $20.00        filled         $25.00

*10 inch round    feeds 25+           $30.00        filled         $35.00

*12 inch round    feeds 35+           $40.00        filled         $45.00

Items can be picked up at A. W. Confections at a pre-arranged time or delivered for a nominal fee.  Delivery to Lee is $3.00,  delivery beyond Lee is $5.00.

 

WEDDING CAKES:

Pricing is based per serving.    The servings are based on all layers below the cake top.  The cake top is not factored into the servings,  this is our gift to the bride and groom. 

A deposit of $100.00 or 20% of the cost of the cake; whichever is greater,  is required to hold the wedding date. 

This amount is subtracted from the cost of the cake.  The balance of your wedding cake is then divided into two payments, first payment due one month prior to event,  balance payment due two weeks before event.  All amounts/payments are non refundable.  Delivery and setup is included in this price. 

CHARGES AND BREAK OUT COSTS

**The serving charge for a wedding cake is $3.95 and up per serving. 

**Filling charges are based per layer, not per serving.  Filling charge for wedding cake tiers are $10.00 per layer, per filling.

**Rolled fondant is a special type of icing that is placed over an already iced cake.  It is pliable and can be manipulated to make rope borders to intricate flowers and lace appliqués. Rolled fondant gives a wedding cake a matte like finish and a 'rolled' or rounded top edge.  It is used to preserve a cake,  since we make your cake 24 hours before your wedding,  for us rolled fondant is used for esthetics only.  Rolled fondant is an additional $150.00 charge on top of the cost of the cake.

**Additional cost to your wedding cake are charges for sugar pastiallage flowers,  or gum paste.  These flowers are hand made, hand rolled,  are made of sugar but look life like and have a porcelain finish.  This charge varies on complexity and amount of flowers needed. 

**A completely fake or false wedding cake is a $175.00 charge.  This includes labor, supplies, and detailing in butter cream.  All other fees decorative fees apply. 

**We also offer an option to add fake layers to your wedding cake.  This allows brides who are having a smaller sized wedding to experience the grandeur of a larger wedding cake.  The charge for fake layers added to an existing wedding cake is $25.00 and up.

**Wedding cupcakes start around $3.00 per serving.  Individual cakes or single serving wedding cakes start at around $4.95 and up.  Design and other decorative components may lead to additional cost.
